Aoibheann started her tourism career with us as an intern in 2021 after completing her MSc degree in Tourism Management at the Technological University of Dublin where she received a first class honours in her dissertation on responsible tourist behaviour. She is an accredited Leave No Trace trainer and has also completed the Sustainable Tourism Training Programme with the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC). Aoibheann has also received a distinction QQI certificate in Training Delivery and Evaluation. Her previous roles have had a focus on sustainable, regenerative and collaborative approaches to tourism development and management. With a love for community and the environment, Aoibheann can be seen regularly at community environmental initiatives and is a frequent volunteer with the native Irish woodland charity Hometree. Aoibheann is also a linguist and has experience in translations, improving her skills ‘as Gaeilge’ and is fluent in Spanish after living 5 years in the Basque Country. You may also find her with a mic in her hand on the weekend and getting competitive both on the karaoke machine and basketball court.

Can be frequently heard saying a new catchphrase internally when things are going to plan –  ‘we’re suckin’ hydrogen now!”
