TERMS AND CONDITIONS

In order to become a member of Sustainable Travel Ireland, you must first read and agree to the Terms and Conditions of this Membership Agreement. By ticking the ‘I agree to the Terms and Conditions’ box on the sign-up form, you are agreeing to the following Terms and Conditions:

1. Subscription Conditions

Registration for Sustainable Travel Ireland membership is available to all tourism businesses in Ireland and Northern Ireland.

Businesses are required to read and agree to the Sustainable Travel Ireland Code of Conduct and will be held accountable for upholding this code throughout the duration of membership. Sustainable Travel Ireland Ireland reserves the right to terminate the membership of any business in breach of the Code of Conduct and fees paid will be non-refundable.

Members must reach Intermediate level within 12 months of signing up as a member.

A listing on our members’ list will link directly to the sustainability sections/page on a member’s website only.

Membership fees are non-refundable except in special circumstances at the discretion of Sustainable Travel Ireland management.

Any business wishing to access certification level must first register as a member and submit the annual fee.

All members of Sustainable Travel Ireland must use Sustainable Travel Ireland’s labels properly and correctly, in accordance with their level of membership. The label issued to you is appropriate to your level of membership. Use of a label graded at a higher level than issued is prohibited and will initiate a review of your membership status.

Any business wishing to skip the Intermediate level of membership and apply for certification must first submit their application documents for review. Access to audit will be subject to approval review by Sustainable Travel Ireland. This review will incur a fee.

2. Termination Of Membership

Membership of Sustainable Travel Ireland may be terminated at any time, and without cause, by both parties. Sustainable Travel Ireland reserves the right to refuse registration or membership to any business for any reason. In case of termination by the member, the membership fee for the current calendar year will be due, unless otherwise agreed by both parties.

3. Password Security

Access to and use of the online learning platform is through the use of a login name and password. Each member must keep their password strictly confidential. Sharing a unique login name and/or password with another business is prohibited.

4. Labels

As a new member of Sustainable Travel Ireland, the first label that will be available to you is the Intermediate Member label. This will be issued when your business has proved its commitment towards sustainability and has implemented the desired requirements. Certified labels (to bronze, silver and gold level) will only be issued after the successful completion of an onsite and independent audit.
